Terms and Conditions

Prices
Our prices are calculated by multiplying the numbers of hours we estimate your project will take by our hourly rate. There are no overhead hours. In some cases, your project may take more time to complete than we originally estimated. We will always contact you if you are running close to the estimate and figure out a solution to keep additional costs low. However, this is not always possible.

Estimates are only good for two weeks. In order to secure the price you were quoted, you must send a down payment and get started within two weeks of receiving our quote. If we are unable to start your project immediately, you may send a $100 down payment to secure your price.

Payments
50% of your balance is due before the start of your project and 50% is due before we release your files or push your site live. Projects with an estimate of $300 or under must be paid 100% upfront. We may be willing to negotiate a payment plan with you. Please contact us regarding installment agreements before requesting a quote.

We accept paypal, credit & debit cards, checks made payable to Ingero, LLC and money orders.

Refunds & Contract Termination
We do not give refunds on services. If your project is terminated for any reason, your 50% deposit as well as payment for hours over and above that amount is due to us. Please make sure you can fulfill your financial obligation prior to the commencement of your project.

Client Area
We realize you’re probably used to communicating via e-mail, but we prefer to deal with our clients through the project management software located at clients.ingero.com. Once we receive your down payment, we will create an account for you and begin the design process. This allows us to keep your information organized and minimizes confusion. The process will be much more efficient if you take a few minutes to learn how to use the client area.

Sketches
After we set up your account in our client area, we will begin the project by throwing up some sketches based on the information you provided on our Get Started page. This is an extremely important step which will allow us to narrow down concepts and ideas into a final product. Please note that our estimates include two design comps with three revisions. Any further design comps may entail an additional cost.

Final Drafts
After we move the design in the right direction through the sketches, we will begin finalizing your design. Attention to detail is vital in this area. This step may be even more difficult than the previous one.

Website Coding
Once you give the go ahead, your project will be turned over to our programming team. This part is usually handled entirely by John. He will contact you with progress reports, questions and content requests. The site will be transformed from a static image to a working website. We usually post the site in a directory on our server so you can watch the process unfold and so we can test the code.

This is a very technical aspect of our work and we understand you may not fully understand the whole process. It’s important to trust us here and let our expertise work for you. We’ll let you know when we need your input and handle the rest on our own.

Testing
We do a good deal of testing in different browsers before we push the site live, but it’s important that you also test the site once it’s online. Many times there are aspects of the site that might not be apparent before it has been used extensively. We will fix any bugs in the code free of charge.

Turnaround
Most of the time, we cannot guarantee a specific time for project completion. Each project is different and there are too many variables in play to give an exact date. If you have a deadline, please discuss this with us ahead of time so we can either plan our schedule or inform you that we cannot meet your expectations. Any website that needs to be completed in less than a month will be subject to rush fees.

Rush Orders
A rush fee is required when our clients need special priority placed on their project so we can get it done in a shorter amount of time than what we would normally feel comfortable with. We do not always take rush orders as it depends on what our prior commitments are.

The amount of the rush fee is directly related to how quickly you need the work completed. This amount is a percentage, which will vary from circumstance to circumstance. Please let us know right away if you have a strict deadline and need priority placed on your project. We may inform you that your deadline is simply impossible and that you should specify a more reasonable date.

Please note that we indemnify ourselves if the deadline is not met because you are unresponsive or inattentive to our necessary queries.

Backup and Recovery
We are not responsible for your website data. This includes your site files and database. If you are one of our hosting customers, we have a backup of your data, but it’s an automated backup that runs every 24 hours. This means that if you have a problem, it is imperative that you contact us within 24 hours so we can retrieve a copy of your information. After 24 hours, the data will be overwritten and rendered useless. There is a $25 fee to restore your lost data.

We keep a backup of all of the websites we do, but this does not include your database. If you have a CMS such as WordPress, MODx or ExpressionEngine, the information that your site displays is stored in a database. It is your responsibility to secure your database with strong passwords and to keep a copy of it in case there is a problem. We will not be held responsible for any data loss.

We are also not responsible for e-mail data loss. It’s 100% your responsibility to keep a local backup of any e-mail you’d wish to keep.

Passwords
It is your responsibility to use and store your own secure passwords. While we may have a record of your password somewhere, it is not our policy to keep and update these records for you. It is also not recommended to constantly transmit passwords via e-mail.
